PNG with transparency works best for logos.

💡 Opacity guide
40–60% protects photos without ruining them. Tiled semi-transparent marks are the most expensive to remove — corners are for credit, tiles are for protection.

Watermark — FAQ

Tile vs corner vs custom — which do I need?

Corner = credit ("who took this"). Tile = protection — repeated diagonally, it can't be cropped out. Custom = precision — drag the mark to exactly where it looks best, like a signature in the bottom-right of an artwork.

Logo or text watermark?

Logos look more professional and are instantly recognizable — upload a PNG with transparency. Text is better for copyrights ("© Name 2025") and works everywhere. Here, a logo automatically takes priority when uploaded.

Can people remove my watermark?

A determined editor can remove anything — the point is cost and deterrence, not impossibility. Tiled semi-transparent marks are the most expensive to clean up by far.

What's the best opacity?

40–60% for photos you're publishing. Below 30% it fades into the image and barely deters; above 70% it ruins the photo you're trying to protect.
