Logos, product shots, screenshots — anything on a plain background.
Everything close to this color gets removed.
How far from the picked color still counts as background. Raise it to eat more shades — too high starts eating the subject.
Blends the cut edge so it doesn't look razor-cut against new backgrounds.
Invert is handy for isolating an object that's one flat color on a busy background.
What shows behind the cutout while you work. Doesn't affect the download.
Applies to WebP and JPG only.
A color-based remover: perfect for logos, product shots and screenshots on plain backgrounds. It is not AI — hair, fur and complex scenes won't cut cleanly. For those, a desktop editor does a better job.
How it works
Drop your image
It appears above — click directly on the background to sample its color.
Tune & compare
Adjust tolerance and edge softness live; hit "Show original" any time to compare.
Export
Transparent PNG, transparent WebP or white-matte JPG — at original, half or double size.
Where it works best
- Logos & icons — lift flat-color marks off white or solid backgrounds.
- Product photos — studio-style shots on seamless paper cut perfectly.
- Screenshots & diagrams — isolate charts and UI elements for docs.
- Color swaps — use "solid color" mode to re-brand a graphic in seconds.
BG Remover — FAQ
Part of my subject got removed too — fix?
Two moves: lower the tolerance, and pick the color by clicking the exact background shade (not a shadow or gradient). If your subject contains the same color as the background, color-based removal can't separate them — that's the known limit of this technique.
What does "Invert" do?
It flips the selection: only the picked color is kept, and everything else becomes transparent (or gets the replacement color). Useful when you want to extract one flat-colored element from a busy image.
Can I put my subject on a new background color?
Yes — set "Removed area becomes" to a solid color and pick the replacement. Edges blend into it automatically, and the result exports as a normal opaque image.
Why is the JPG white instead of transparent?
The JPG format has no transparency — anywhere, in any tool. When you export JPG, transparent areas are flattened onto white. Use PNG or WebP when you need transparency.
Which format should I pick?
PNG for design work and anything that needs transparency. WebP when you want transparency at a smaller file size. JPG only for uploads that strictly require JPG — expect a white background.
