What is QRForge?
QRForge is a collection of free tools that turn everyday information — links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact cards, WhatsApp chats, UPI payment details, files — into scannable codes. It launched in 2025 with one simple belief: a basic utility should never cost money, require an account, or watermark your work.

How it works (the honest version)
Nearly all tools are fully static — your input is processed right inside your browser and nothing is transmitted anywhere. That's why they work offline after the first load.
The one exception: File → QR and WhatsApp's attach a file option. A QR code can only hold a few kilobytes, so real files must live somewhere online. Those files upload to temporary cloud storage (AWS S3), get a public link, and that link goes inside the QR. Files are automatically deleted after roughly 24 hours — these tools are built for quick, temporary sharing, not permanent hosting.
What we're NOT
- Not a payment processor. Our UPI tool just writes the standard
upi://paylink with your UPI ID. Money moves directly between the payer's and your bank accounts — it never touches us, and we take zero fees. - Not affiliated with WhatsApp (Meta), Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or NPCI. Those names appear only to describe what our codes are compatible with.
- Not a data company. We don't run accounts, so there's nothing to profile, sell, or leak.
Built to last
Every code we generate is static — the data lives inside the code itself, not on our servers. Even in the unlikely event QRForge disappeared tomorrow, every code you've already printed would keep working forever.
Built with open-source libraries, hosted on Netlify, with AWS S3 for temporary file storage.
