💡 camelCase / snake_case drop punctuation
Programmer cases normalize your text: "Hello, World! (v2)" → helloWorldV2 / hello_world_v2. That's standard behavior — non-alphanumeric characters become separators.

Which case for what?

  • UPPERCASE — headlines, warnings, emphasis.
  • camelCase / PascalCase — JavaScript variables and class names.
  • snake_case / CONSTANT_CASE — Python, Ruby, database columns and env variables.
  • kebab-case — URLs, CSS classes, file names, HTML attributes.

Case Converter — FAQ

What's the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case Capitalizes Every Major Word. Sentence case only capitalizes the first word of each sentence, like normal writing. Switch the AP-style option in Advanced to control how small words (a, of, the) are treated in titles.

When do I use snake_case vs kebab-case?

Programmer convention: snake_case (lower_with_underscores) for Python variables and database columns; kebab-case (lower-with-hyphens) for URLs, CSS classes and file names.

Why did my punctuation disappear in camelCase?

Programmer cases can't contain punctuation — every non-alphanumeric run is treated as a word boundary and consumed. "user's full-name" becomes userFullName. If you need punctuation kept, use one of the display cases instead.

Does it handle non-English text?

Yes — it uses JavaScript's built-in locale-aware case functions where available. Casing rules for languages like Turkish (dotless i) may differ slightly from dedicated locale tools.
